E.L.F Haul

Hii Guys! So this is my second ever blog post and my first 'proper' blog post which is related to my blog.... the first one was a bit of an introduction. Feel free to leave any comments at the end or any of your views on the products mention. Also a little disclaimer, I'm in no way at all trying to show off so please do not be offended by this. All the prices are without the discount as this discount is no longer on. If your new to this blog please check out my full disclaimer :) Thanks for reading guys and remember to subscribe and follow me on instagram/twitter!

Just before Christmas E.L.F (www.eyeslipsface.co.uk) held a 50% off sale online, so I grabbed this opportunity to pick up some of the items which I have been wanting to try. Very kindly my sister offered to buy these items for my Christmas present if I chose them, so even though this is a haul they are also what I got for Christmas. I haven't had much time to try out all these items, so if you would like me to do a review on some of the items leave a comment and I will.

E.L.F is an online shop and has three different ranges of makeup: essentials, studio, mineral. The essentials is the cheaper of the three but none of them are expensive at all compared to most high street (drugstore) brands. The other great thing about this website is that most of the time they have deals often things like discount codes or free items when you spend a certain amount so it's always worth checking those deals.

After that very long introduction now I'll move onto the products which I brought.

Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing powder £3.75 (link)

I got this in two shades, St Lucia and Antigua. Antigua has a darker contour colour and a brighter blush whereas St Lucia is more subtle and softer colours. These are defiantly worth the money even at full price because you get two products which are both really well pigmented. It's a nice size and compact so you wouldn't have to carry two separate products.

Bottom two on the left are St Lucia in the packaging and swatched.... obviously you can blend these out in these photos there is quite a bit of product so that you could see the full colour.

Bottom two on the right are Antigua and again they would have to be blended out as well.

On the top right the one further forward in the photo is St Lucia and the one nearer the back is Antigua.

Studio Mascara Primer £3.75 (link)

When I got this product I hadn't heard of anything like it from any other brand, but I had read lots of reviews and loads of people said how good it was so seeing as it was half price I decided to give it ago.
It's essentially something you put on your mascara and it makes your lashes longer and makes your mascara have much more effect on your lashes. This is one of the products I have tried and it does really work and makes your lashes look much nicer.
It is white in colour which sort of scared my when I first put it on as I didn't want my eyelashes to turn white, but as soon as you put your normal mascara on you can't see it at all.

Tone Correcting Powder £3.75 (link)

I got this product in cool, now though I am wishing that I got it in warm. The colours in powder are all very cool and even though I haven't used this yet I think that when I put it on the skin it could turn out to make my skin look very washed out.
The reason I went for cool was because the colours were much more obvious you have a yellow, blue, green and pink powder which when you swirl your brush in it all go to a pale white colour... which I hope turns translucent on the skin.
This product was more of an experiment for me as I have never tried tone correcting powder.

It was really hard to swatch these colours onto my skin because its designed to go translucent on the skin as well as tone correcting.

Essentials Jumbo Eye Shadow Stick £2.50 (link)

I chose four of these: Forest Nymph, Turkish Coffee, French Lace, Little Miss Thing. Forest Nymph and Turkish Coffee are dark browns which I am going to use for a natural smokey eye or for in the outer corner and crease when using more natural colours. They also both compliment both of the lighter colours French Lace and Little Miss Thing perfectly! French Lace has more of a pink tone and Little Miss Thing has a much more gold tone to it. I am also going to use them as bases for my eye shadow looks.

Essentials Duo Eye Shadow Cream £1.50 (link)

I don't use cream eye shadow very often but I really wanted to try some and I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to try some out especially as when there was a half price discount they were only 75p.
I got two colours: coffee and cream and black liquorice. I thought that these could be used as a base for eye shadow because I'm not sure how pigmented they are but for how much I paid they will be worth it to try them out.

Essentials Eyelid Primer £1.50 (link)

As you can probably tell by now there is a bit of a theme to this haul... eye shadow! So I brought this primer to go with all the eye shadow I was buying. I got this primer in sheer but on the website there is a choice of a few colours and if this primer is as good as everyone says I'm planning on buying some of the other colours as well because they will be very useful as a base colour as well as a primer.

Essentials Flawless Eye Shadow £2.50 (link)

These three quads from E.L.F I think are essential for girls starting out with makeup or eye shadow. They all contain a little applicator which I usually through away because I prefer to apply eye shadow with a brush. They contain four colours which all compliment themselves. What also makes these eye shadows so easy to use is that on each colour indented into them it says base, lid, crease, line so that you know exactly where the eye shadow goes.
The three colours I picked up are Happy Hour, Smokey, Tantalising Taupe.

The swatches are next to the close up of the eye shadow quad they are fro. The top two is the packaging. Second down is smokey, then its happy hour and lastly tantalising taupe.
